They’re quick, they’re clever, they’re masters of disguise and every year public radio program Science Friday dedicates a week to celebrating them. Cephalopod Week, Science Friday’s annual celebration of some of the smartest, most interesting invertebrates on Earth, is back for its fourth year, and Atlas Obscura and Science Friday are teaming up to make it a total cephalo-party!

Join them for an evening of talk, tentacles, and merriment, featuring four original short films from Science Friday at a secret Denver location. This evening is your chance to rub elbows with cephalopod and marine life experts and Science Friday staff member Rachel Bouton— and ask them anything you want to know about these amazing, adaptive, and sometimes creepy creatures.

You’ll join other Atlas Obscura Society members and Science Friday listeners for this very special screening, sip enchanting beverages, and engage in riveting conversation as you enjoy scenes of giant octopus attacks from vintage cult film.
