Below are some of the most-asked questions we receive regarding our summer camps, along with the answers.

1. Do I need to fill out an allergy, asthma and/or medication form?
Only complete corresponding forms if your child has a medical or behavioral condition that you would like to make us aware of. If your child has a condition that requires the use of an Epi-pen or and inhaler, an Allergy Care or Asthma Care Plan is required. Please note: All required medical forms must be submitted at least 20 business days to the start of your child’s camp.

2. Is it ok for my child to bring food?
Yes. Keep your eye out for an email that will be sent out approximately a week before camp start stating if the camp needs to be peanut-free due to severe allergies.

3. Do you offer supervised lunch?
Yes. If your child is signed up for an AM and PM camp on the same location (CU Boulder Main Campus or Science Learning Laboratory/East Campus), we will supervise your child from 12-1pm. Just send them with a lunch!

4. How will my student get from their AM camp to their PM camp?
If your child’s camps are located on different sites, you are responsible for transporting your child from their AM to PM camp. For supervised lunch students, CU Science Discovery will be responsible for getting them to their afternoon camp.

5. Is there a dress code?
We do not have a dress code with exceptions for certain camps, such as field, chemistry and some engineering camps. All of these camps require closed-toed shoes and other camp-specific items for the camper’s safety.

6. Do you have before- or aftercare?
No, we do not.

7. When should I drop my child off?
Please drop your child off by 8:45am/12:45pm to ensure that they will arrive at their camp location on time. If your child’s camp is on the CU Boulder Main Campus or Science Learning Laboratory/East Campus you can drop-off as early as 8:30am/12:30pm.

8. What happens when there is bad weather?
If your child is in a field camp, we will bring them indoors and supplement with indoor activities.

9. Do you offer any discounts?
Yes, a multi-camp discount or a CU/UCD/CCD faculty, staff and student discount. Discounts may not be combined.

10. Do you offer any scholarships?
Yes, we provide scholarships depending on availability of funding and financial need. To apply, please submit a scholarship application as soon as possible.

11. Can you add one more spot in the camp for my child?
Unfortunately no, we adhere to camp limits due to a number of factors and cannot make any exceptions. However, you may add your child to the waitlist and if a spot opens up, priority is given to our waitlist students.
