Our Robotics Teams are full for the 2017-2018 season. Check back in August 2018 for details on next year’s application process.

Science Discovery is assembling two of its first-ever Robotics Teams to compete in the Wonder League Robotics Competition!

Using Wonder Workshop’s award-winning Dash and Dot robots, the Science Discovery Robotics Teams will work their way through a series of story-based missions to design solutions for real-world science and technology challenges. As they complete these missions, Team members will:

  • Develop problem-solving, computational thinking, growth mindset and creativity skills
  • Learn to code
  • Experience learning while using 21st century tools
  • Build meaningful relationships, while developing a sense of teamwork and community
  • Have FUN!

Team 1 will consist of 3-5 students ages 6-8.
Team 2 will consist of 3-5 students ages 9-12.

Both teams will participate in 3 rounds of missions over a 5-month period to become eligible for a Wonder Workshop sponsored Invitational Round in Spring 2018.

Team Meetings: Wednesdays, September 20 – February 14, 2017 from 4-6pm (no meetings on November 22, December 20, December 27 or January 3).

Registration Fee: $350 per member. This fee allows Science Discovery to provide a team coach and t-shirts for all team members. No additional fees will be collected, regardless of how far each team advances.
